PRODUCTIONS

Common Tone Productions is a full media production company. We are dedicated to serving the technical and production needs of a diverse array of performing artists, musicians, and creators of all types. CT Productions is program of Common Tone Arts, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, and is a natural extension of the Institute for Creativity and was established to help bridge the gap between vision, execution, and audience engagement.

Common Tone Productions offers full media production of live performances, audition videos, archival recordings, full-length albums, video production, video live streaming, and post-editing.

PRODUCTION PACKAGES

  • Package #1: $90

    In this package, you will receive 60 minutes of recording time, and a final video with a single camera shot and enhanced audio.

  • Package #2: $300

    This package includes the rental fee for up to 4 hours in the space, 1 person to assist with production & facilities, and a live audio & one camera video recording from the concert.

    NOTE: We can process audio recordings for an additional fee.

  • *Basic audio processing for concerts results in a professional stereo archival recording.

    Package #3: $275

    This package includes a stereo audio recording with basic processing for a 1-2 hour concert. No video.

    Package #4: $400

    This package includes a multitrack recording with stereo mixdown with basic processing for a 1-2 hour concert. No video.

    Package #5: $500

    This package includes a stereo audio recording with basic processing for a 1-2 hour concert, plus video with one camera.

    Extra services are available for each of these packages when applicable for an extra hourly rate, including but not limited to projections, titles, live streaming, and multi-camera recordings. Last minute add-ons will incur an additional hourly cost at $80 an hour.

    To add produced video to any of these packages, our hourly rate is $80

  • Our rate for studio recordings is $80 an hour for both recording time and post production. Subject to change.

RON HAIGHT

DIRECTOR & LEAD RECORDING ENGINEER

Ron Haight is the founding director of Common Tone Productions. With over 30 years of professional production experience with leading arts organizations, Ron is one of the most in-demand audio and video recording specialists in the Northwest. Until 2020, Ron served as the Director of Music Technology at Seattle Pacific University and as the Head of Music at the First Free Methodist Church in Seattle. Ron has a diverse recording and production portfolio managing projects from individuals to large groups and anywhere from live archival audio recordings, to live streaming video, and professional commercial releases.

COLIN CHANDLER

Colin Chandler is a professional Army trumpet player and he performs regularly in ensembles around the Pacific Northwest. He is also an independent mixing engineer who has worked with several notable musicians and groups including Emerald City Music, Common Tone Arts,JACK Quartet, and Philharmonia Northwest.

ABOUT OUR FACILITIES

Common Tone Productions regularly uses two spaces: the Sanctuary at First Free Methodist Church and Nickerson Studios at Seattle Pacific University.

In general, our fees help cover the costs of recording engineers, room rental, professional piano access, equipment rental, and post-production.

NICKERSON STUDIOS at SEATTLE PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

Assets available:

  • Theater lighting 

  • 9 ft Steinway, Steinway B, and Yamaha small grand pianos

Can be available for studio concerts/recitals and audition recordings.
