PAUL STOVALL
Paul Stovall is a Seattle-based composer. His music jumps between genres based on the project he is working on and primarily explores the human condition.
While attending the Interlochen Center for the Arts in the summer of 2014, a composition instructor (N. Lincoln Hanks) heard his music and encouraged him to continue developing his musical voice and craft. Since then, he has had the fortune of writing for symphony orchestras, a variety of musical ensembles, and has had his music workshopped and performed by organizations such as the Seattle Opera, the Common Tone Music Festival, and the El Paso Society of Musicians for the Future.
Paul holds degrees from Western Washington University, Seattle Film Institute, and the University of Idaho where his primary instructors included Roger Briggs, Todd Smith, Adam Haws, Charles Halka, Lesley Sommer, Hummie Mann, and Ruby Fulton.
Paul recently completed his graduate composition thesis for wind ensemble entitled "WAVES".
